Elnora Lafeve Bosman (b. 1905) says her grandmother, Mary LaFeve, was sister to the Jules Chenevere who married Agnes Venier. This Jules Chenevere was brother to Aurelia Chenevere who married Godfrey Venier. This established François Chenevere and Elise Beaudry as Mary's parents, even though the parents are not listed in the church record of their marriage.

She is listed as daughter on Francois's will.

On the loose sheet is a notation, “This marriage listed as 1856” in a different hand than the original.
Peter Lafeve first wife, Theotiste Campeau, died 14 April 1857, age 36. The record is contiguous with other 1857 burials in the parish register.
Mary Senever was born 30 August 1837 and is listed as 20 years old in the marriage record.
In her father’s will, Mary Senever Lafeve is listed as 50 years old on December 16, 1887.
Her sister, Aurelia, born 23 Jun 1832, is listed as 55 years old in the will.
Her brother, Jules, born 9 June 1830, is listed as 57 years old in the will.

Although the death record of Peter’s first wife is the strongest evidence that the marriage was not in 1856, the listing of Mary’s age as 20 in the marriage record, along with the fact that even 30 years later, she and her sibling remember their ages correctly, argues for an 1857 marriage date.
